I had 30 years of concert t-shirts stored in my closet that I intended to make into a quilt. But when I saw the quality of Acela’s work and the creative way she works with people to put their quilts together, I knew I would get a much better result from a professional like her, and I was right about that. I am thrilled with the end result which was far superior to anything I could have done myself. It’s beautifully made – a work of art that’s also usable for everyday life. I was so excited to receive my quilt when it came in the mail! It was even better than I could have expected! I had t-shirts from my late dog collecting dust in a bin under my bed and this quilt is a wonderful memory keeper of him. Acela is so talented!!!

The quality is by far the best I have seen and Acela is so wonderful to work with! You can’t help but to fall in love with her and her heart! You can tell with every stitch there is love sewn in. My husband has served over 13 years in the military and I have been saving his shirts to customize a quilt for year four (linen) of our anniversary. Thank God I found Rhapsody Red! I feel I couldn’t have had a more perfect match. Acela’s mosaic quilt was so organized, detailed and unique- my husband was blown away.

For anyone who knows military families, it can be difficult to connect after tours. They live a whole different life on duty and tend to hold a lot of that in. When he received the quilt, he was so moved, seeing it made of mostly his former military shirts. When he pulled out the quilt, we sat and I got to listen to all new stories of his past I have never heard before. Each shirt was a memory. Words cannot express my love I have for my husband and the gratitude I have for Rhapsody Red aiding in creating such a special moment and what a wonderful anniversary!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!! 10 out of 10!!!

Absolutely loved the craftsmanship and beautiful quilting done by Acela for my son’s graduation quilt. I wasn’t sure what to do with the back of the quilt and Acela offered to sketch a few designs for me and I just love the one we chose. She worked with me every step of the way with patience & professionalism. I surprised my son with it and he just loved it. Thanks so much, Rhapsody Red Quilts!…and thanks for shipping all the way to California! I was hoping to post a picture of the beautiful quilt but I don’t see where I can post it here on Google. I will upload a picture if I can.

I highly recommend Rhapsody Red Designs by Acela for T-Shirt quilts. I needed two throws completed by Christmas and they were completed in plenty of time. The quality was exceptional and exceeded my expectations. One was a Tampa Bay Rays throw and the other was my son’s shirts from grade school to high school. My son was thrilled with them and Acela even packaged them so nicely. Check her website for possible pictures.

Acela goes through each shirt with you one-by-one to determine which parts of the shirt you want on the quilt. She also gives you options for the backing of the quilt based on her expertise. She sent me pictures throughout the process.

I cannot recommend her business enough and will be back next year to have her make a bedspread with the rest of the shirts we have.
